Lucky Hare Shears
Vachi V-1 24T Texturizer 24 Teeth
The Vachi "Performer" is our most affordable and popular line of shears. While being our most affordable, Vachi does not sacrifice the craftsmanship, design quality, and performance that Lucky Hare Shears is noted for. They are forged and crafted to the same high standards and in the same general styles of all the Lucky Hare Shears lines. Vachi shears are made from Hitachi 420C Japanese cobalt alloy stainless steel. Many stylists first purchase the Vachi as an affordable entry level shear and never look elsewhere to achieve the elegant feel and smoothness of the cut that the Vachi provides. Because of the Vachi’s affordability many stylist use this line to build a shear toolkit that include thinner, texturizer, and a longer shear for bang and scissor over comb cutting.
Texturing Shear: This texturing shear features traditional V-style teeth on the receiving blade. The cutting blade is convexed and polished to a razor sharp edge. Weight and volume adjusting as well as blending can be done with precision. The more generous spacing of the 24 tooth gives the ability to add texture with control and precision. This texturing shear is crafted to give the same elegant feel and balance found in all Lucky Hare Shears.
Blade Design: The cutting blades are forged and finely polished into the traditional and popular Japanese convex edge and are hollow-ground on the inside of each blade to give a razor sharp cutting action day in and day out.
Handle Design: The handles are “offset” for holding the shears in a more natural and comfortable hand position. This puts less stress on the thumb tendon and helps reduce the risk of repetitive motion CTS.
Adjusting System: Our popular dial-spring-leaf-tension system allows for easy adjustment without a tool and holds the desired tension setting securely.
Removable Finger Rest: The finger rest is removable to suit a wider variety of cutting styles. Remove as needed by simply unscrewing the finger rest.
Sculptured Handle: The shank of the handle has been contoured to provide a “groove” for the middle finger and the index finger to create more control and feel.
